Internet Download Manager

Okay so basically like i described in m profile i want to cover areas that i think the basic computer or internet user should know.
Today we have internet download manager.
WHAT IS IT?
This is basically a software that helps manages the your downloads from the internet(pictures, web pages,executable and setup files,music and the like) and gives you the added freedom of being able to pause and resume your downloads.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
well the software makers have a dedicated server that downloads what your looking for,seperates it into various parts and allows you to download simultaneously(see it as load sharing.This causes download to be quiet fast.
HOW DO I GET IT?
It is available to download on trial(30 days evaluation) at (www.internetdownloadmanager.com/download.html) 
minus the braces.

To get the full software you would have to buy it  or torrent it(that i will explain in a different post)

Change Message center on Iphone

Well I am currently using an iphone and i realized i couldn't reply text messages even though i could receive them.

This problem is related to your message center number.Using mutiple network chips can cause a change in your message center number and can cause you this problem.

To fix this:

1.Currently check your message center number by typing this into your keypad " *#5005*7672# " (without the quotes)

2Now change it by typing this in your keypad followed by dial "**5005*7672*SMSCENTERNUMBER# " 

So for example (**5005*7672*+2332000000007#)

WORD STOP DELETING MY TEXT!!

Okay so you've probably used Microsoft Office or some sort of text editor. Did you notice that annoying thing that happens when you sometimes press "SPACE" and then it deletes your text.You can't even edit items without deleting the preceding ones.If you've been in this sort of dilemma just press your insert key and all should be well!

Okay so you see those annoying malware/virus issues that cause your hard disk space to be swallowed up  just like that.Well after going through several blogs on how to resolve this problem,they all seemed quite long and strenuous. You can remove the threat by getting a good anti-virus.But to fix your low disk space issue try downloading  "space monger".It is a free software that helps you analyze your hard disk space using colored boxes of varying sizes.This should help you navigate to the part of your hard disk where this evil virus has duplicated and copied somethings to over-populate your hard disk. You can also use it for basic tweaking purposes!.have fun!

UNLOCKING YOUR HUAWEI MODEM

Now am going to show you how to unlock your huawei modem so as to take on other network chips.
download huawei unlocker and code writer from the following links respectively;

run the unlocker,with your modem connected and type in your IMEI number (this can be found when you open the modem(where the sim is).


This will generate an unlock code for you.
Write down this code and open the "code writer"....scan for your modem and select it.
click unlock and type in your unlock code


Note:This won't work on 2011 modems,i am sure the issue will be resolved soon
Also I am not teaching this so as to bypass network operations,just give you flexibilty with your modem.Everything you do after this point is up to you

HOW TO FLASH A PHONE MANUALLY

*firmware files(for nokia,they can be got from "http://blue-nokia.com"--->click bb5  and select your phone model to download the files.
-or just download navifirm software to get you firmware files

HOW TO UNBRICK YOUR NOKIA 5800

okay so  i was experimenting with custom firmware and the my phone bricked!. I tried to flash it into it's normal state but before the screen goes to the local mode,it just fades out from this white screen.From there on,the phones just vibrates when i press the power button.


I tried a couple of steps to fix this
-i tried using phoenix to dead flash it..(the tutorials are here.."http://www.fixya.com/support/r8704132-reflash_bricked_nokia_5230_or_other"..

The tutorial is for flashing a 5230 but the principles are the same for the nokia 5800
This step proved futile for me,as i still had the same problem.
-Pressing the hard reset keys didn't help me either(green,red,camera and power button at the same time)
-Finally,i tried using Jaf emulator.the tutorials are pretty simple;
go here and download jaf tool and pkey and follow the instructions on how to install it on xp
 and on vista

download the required firmware file using NAVIFIRM tool

make sure u have fw file and u put in directory
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products
or
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\DataPackage\Products

now once ur device is connected

go to "bb5" tab

1. select manual flash

now for those who have downloaded firmware file using navifirm tool just click the tab "use ini " and jaf will search for firmware file in your desktop

Now download the last bit of file.....navifirm(this is a small file you can download easily)..
-look for your phones model and corresponding RM version(can be found at the back,where the phone battery is).download a model that corresponds to your phones looks and language(euro,black..red..stuff like that)


-in Fixing my Nokia 5800 i downloaded one of the earliest firmwares,version 20.0.012
because later firmwares jus don't work


after downloading with navifirm,copy the files into the appropriate Jaf folder ("c:/program files/nokia/phoenix/products/RM-***") where the *** represent your RM number




flash it,and your phone should be working!,the only bummer is you have to update a lot to keep up with modern firmware
